  1.    This program will modify your save game files for Master of Orion 
  2. (by Microprose Software, Inc.) so that you will have 5,000,000 BC's 
  3. in your planetary reserve.
  4.    The money can then be transferred to your colonies increasing the
  5. production of the colonies. Please note that the production can only
  6. be doubled so any excess money transferred will be used in subsequent
  7. years. Try transferring about 100,000 BC's to each colony as it is
  8. created, that should last for a while.
  9.  
  10.    If you want to have a little extra advantage in this really addictive 
  11. new game, cheat!
  12.    
  13.    I recommend that you save copies of all your game save files (they are 
  14. named SAVE?.GAM where "?" is a number from 1 to 6) before running this 
  15. program in case you want to be poor again!
  16.    There is also an autosave file named SAVE7.GAM which this program will 
  17. not modify, it will only modify saves 1-6. The autosave file is used when
  18. you select "continue" from the game's main menu.

  20.    To modify all of your save files, place the ORIONCHT.EXE file in the 
  21. same directory as the save files and enter ORIONCHT to modify the files.
  22.    To modify only a specific save file, enter ORIONCHT ? where "?" is a
  23. number from 1 to 6 indicating which save file to modify. (ie ORIONCHT 3
  24. would modify only SAVE3.GAM)

  27.    This program works by placing the bytes 40h 4Bh 4Ch 00h beginning at
  28. byte 7414h.
